Refund Policy
Last updated: 19/09/2026
Thank you for purchasing digital products from ChiNow. Please read this policy carefully before completing your purchase.
1. Nature of Digital Products
ChiNow sells digital products, including downloadable travel guides and related content. Due to the digital nature of these products, all sales are considered final once the product has been delivered, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply under applicable law and to the exceptions described in this Policy. Delivery occurs when: • The download link becomes available after checkout and after any required consent to immediate digital delivery has been provided, and/or • The product is sent to the email address provided at purchase. Once digital delivery has started, the product cannot be returned in the same way as a physical product.
2. Limited Exceptions
Refunds may be granted in the following situations: • Duplicate purchase of the same product • A verified technical issue preventing access to the file, where we are unable to resolve the issue after reasonable support efforts • Where a refund, price reduction, cancellation, or other remedy is required under applicable consumer protection law If you experience any issues, please contact us before initiating a payment dispute so that we can attempt to resolve the matter.
3. Device Compatibility
It is your responsibility to ensure that your device and software are compatible with standard PDF file formats. If you have questions about compatibility, please contact us before purchasing. This provision does not affect your statutory rights where the digital content itself is defective or does not conform to the contract.
4. EU & UK Customers – Immediate Digital Delivery and Withdrawal Rights
EU consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, the right of withdrawal may be lost once digital delivery begins if the consumer has first: • Expressly consented to the immediate supply of the digital content; and • Acknowledged that, by doing so, the right of withdrawal will be lost once delivery begins. For EU customers, this reflects Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. Where applicable, ChiNow therefore requires this consent and acknowledgment before access to the digital content is provided. If you do not provide the required consent, the digital content will not be made available for download. If payment has already been completed, please contact us at info@chinow.shop so that the order can be reviewed and, where appropriate, refunded. UK customers may have comparable statutory protections under applicable UK consumer law. Nothing in this Policy is intended to remove any mandatory rights available to them.
5. Digital Content That Is Defective or Does Not Conform
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory statutory rights relating to digital content that is defective, inaccessible, materially different from its description, or otherwise does not conform to the contract. Where required by applicable consumer law, we will first attempt to bring the digital content into conformity within a reasonable time and without additional cost to you. Where the issue cannot reasonably be corrected, or where applicable law otherwise requires it, you may be entitled to an appropriate price reduction, termination of the contract, or refund.
6. Fraud Prevention
ChiNow reserves the right to refuse refund requests where permitted by law in cases of: • Abuse of this Policy • Fraudulent activity • Unauthorized payment disputes after confirmed delivery where no valid legal basis for the dispute exists Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
